Alexander James Dallas letter, 1815 June 14.

Letter written from the Department of War to the Governor of the Mississippi Territory transmitting a copy of regulations concerning Indian relations drawn up by commissioners under the Treaty of Ghent, informing him that if Indian hostilities continue, officers of federal troops are empowered to request assistance from local militia to subdue them.
